The concept of capturing the energy force of wind has been around for centuries.  Wind energy has been used to power windmills that crushed or grinded solid substances into grains, or for pumping water.  Today wind turbines use the force of the wind to generate electricity, which is used to power homes and businesses. 

Wind electric is now the fastest growing source of harvested renewable energy in the world. It is also one of the oldest renewable energy technologies. However, the best wind turbine in the world is useless unless it is properly matched to your needs, installed on the correct tower, at the correct height and in the right location.

Wind turbines can be a great compliment to a solar system, since you can produce electricity during cloudy periods or when the sun is not out. 

For off grid users, wind turbines are a great way to add energy to your battery bank since any energy that is produced and stored is energy that can be used at a later time.

There are over 37 Vertical Axis Wind Turbines and 190 Horizontal Axis Wind Turbines, and this list is growing.  This is in addition to 50 or more large wind turbines currently on the market. With these many turbines on the market, one really has to be committed to keeping abreast of fact and fiction. There are many legitimate turbines being manufactured and an inordinate number of here today gone tomorrow. We represent companies that we believe have proven technology, are well built, and will be around tomorrow. Parts are readily available if need be and all of our turbines have been accepted by CEC, AWEA, NYSERDA, and the Colorado Governors Energy Office rebate programs. That means they work!
